HOLOTYPE: AMNH 650900 About AMNH , adult male, collected on the Kumusi River , 08.30S, 148.10E ( Papua New Guinea, 1984), Northern Province, Papua New Guinea, on 22 August 1907, by A.S. Meek (no. 3425). From the Rothschild Collection. GoogleMaps

COMMENTS: Mathews listed as his type a specimen in the Rothschild Collection collected on the Kumusi River on 22 August 1907 by A.S. Meek. AMNH 650900 About AMNH is the only one collected on that date. Rothschild and Hartert (1912a: 200) reported on this collection and listed six specimens collected by Meek. Presumably, Mathews had access to all of them when describing kumusi ; thus, the five paratypes are AMNH 650901– 650905 About AMNH . Of these, AMNH 650901 About AMNH and 650905 were exchanged to FMNH in the early 1960s .
