HOLOTYPE: AMNH 651400 , adult male, collected on Mount Apo , 8000 ft, 06.59N, 125.16E ( Dickinson et al., 1991: 415), Mindanao Island , Philippines, in April 1903, by Walter Goodfellow (no. 137). From the Rothschild Collection.

COMMENTS: Hartert cited Goodfellow’s unique field number of the holotype in the original description and described both male and female. Apparently only one other specimen was collected by Goodfellow in 1903, paratype AMNH 651402, female, collected on Mt. Apo in April.
