HOLOTYPE: AMNH 587919 , adult male, collected at Woolundra, 31.37S, 117.48E

COMMENTS: Mathews did not designate a type in the original description. However, he said that this form was collected by Tom Carter at Woolundra on 22 March 1922. This is the only such specimen that came to AMNH. It bears both a Mathews and a Rothschild type label and the original label is marked ‘‘ type of C. m. leakei’’ in Mathews’ hand. There are no entries in Mathews’ catalog as late as 1922 to serve as an additional cross-check.
