Dryodromus rufifrons turkanae van Someren, 1920: 93 (Meuressi, Turkwell River).

HOLOTYPE: AMNH 598940 , adult female, collected at Meuressi , Turkwel (5 Turkwell) River, ca. 01.54N, 35.20E – 03.05N, 36.09E ( Polhill, 1988), Kenya, in January 1918, by V.G.L. van Someren. From the Rothschild Collection.

COMMENTS: In his original description, van Someren noted that the type with the above data was in the Rothschild Collection. Although he had seven specimens in his type series, the holotype was the only one that came to AMNH.
