Quéinnec & Pavićević, 2008:144 ( Adriaphaenops , TL: Pećina u Mravinjac, alt. 1000 m, Turica , Motka , Bjelašnica planina, Hercegovina , Republika Srpska, Bosnia & Hercegovina).

Material examined. Holotype male labelled: “ Pećina u Mravinjac , alt. 1000m, Turica , Motka , Bjelašnica planina, Hercegovina , Republika Srpska, Bosnia & Hercegovina, VI. 2004, E. Quéinnec leg.” (white label, p)/ “ HOLOTYPE Adriaphaenops perreaui n. sp. Quéinnec & Pavićević des.” (red label, p), (CEQ).

Diagnosis. L: 4.6 mm, TL: 4.3 mm. Head large, subovate, distinctly longer than wide (index HL/HW 1.31), frontal furrows deep, short, moderately impressed, shorter than first third of head length, supraorbital setae absent or very reduced; neck constriction deep; genae very convex. Clypeus and labrum with three pairs of setae, outer pairs longer. Antennae long (AL 3.25 mm), scape as long as pedicel, shorter than terminal antennomere. Pronotum elongate, slightly narrower than head, with maximum width before the anterior third, basal part distinctly narrower than anterior, anterior angles small, acute, posterior angles obtuse; index PL/PW 1.50).

Elytra hemispherical, distinctly longer than wide, basal parts elongate, sides strongly rounded; index EL/EW 1.74, with maximum width at middle; elytral surface covered with short and suberect pubescence; striae absent. Site of stria 3 with three (two discal and one preapical) setae, humeral group of umbilicate pores not aggregated, first anterior pore of humeral group isolated and situated before the level of the first discal seta. Pores 2, 3 and 4 ranged uniformly, pore 3 adjoining marginal gutter, pore 5 located nearer to pore 4 than to pore 6.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 23 – 30 ): aedeagus relatively short, moderately arcuate; apex widely rounded in lateral aspect, sagittal aileron small, protrudent, inner sac armed with very slightly defined, large and subspatulate copulatory piece, about two-thirds as long as aedeagus, parameres short, with two long setae at apex.

Female unknown.

Distribution. Bosnia and Hercegovina, Turica, Bjelašnica Mts., Pećina u Mravinjac cave. So far known only from the type locality. Pećina u Mravinjac cave is also the type locality for other subterranean Coleoptera , namely Anthroherpon hossei Winkler, 1925 and Anthroherpon primitivum jeanneli Winkler, 1925 ( Cholevidae, Leptodirini ). Seracamaurops frieseni Winkler, 1925 ( Staphylinidae , Pselaphinae ), Neotrechus hilfi convexipennis Winkler, 1925 and Neotrechus suturalis suturalis (Schaufuss, 1864) ( Carabidae , Trechini ) were also reported from this cave.
