Scheibel, 1939:372 ( Adriaphaenops ), Type locality: in der “Grbovica”, etwa 500 Meter langen Höhle am Rande des Polje von Trnovo, bei Virpazar in Montenegro (Virpazar, Trnovo, Grbočica pećina cave).
Material examined. Based on data presented in description, holotype female of A. staudacheri was deposited in the collection of Dr. Staudacher, which is now deposited in Museum of Natural History , Ljubljana, Slovenia. According to Dr. Tomi Trilar, custodian for Invertebrata (personal communication) no type of this species exists in the aforementioned collection (General Coleoptera Collection). Current deposition of HT is unknown by the authors.
Diagnosis. L: 3.8 mm. Head elongate, distinctly longer than wide (index HL/HW 1.45), frontal furrows moderately impressed, shorter than first third of head length, with two pairs of very short (reduced) supraorbital setae; neck constriction distinct. Clypeus with four pairs of setae, labrum with three pairs of setae, outer pairs longer. Antennae markedly long (AL 2.8 mm). Pronotum elongate (index PL/PW 1.17), as wide as head, with maximum width at anterior third, gradually narrowed towards apex, basal part distinctly narrower than anterior, anterior and posterior angles obtuse. Elytra distinctly longer than wide (index EL/EW 1.72), with maximum width at middle; elytral surface covered with very sparse, short pubescence; striae absent. Site of stria 3 with three (two discal and one preapical) discal setae; humeral group of umbilicate pores distinct, pore 1 situated before level of first discal seta.
Male unknown.
Distribution. Montenegro, Virpazar, Trnovo, Grbočica cave. So far known only from the type locality. Anthroherpon apfelbecki lahneriSpeonesiotes (Kulzeria) dorotkanus dorotkanus Reitter, 1881 ( Cholevidae : Leptodirini) and Neotrechus suturalis suturalis (Schaufuss, 1864) ( Carabidae , Trechini ) were also reported from this cave. Authors (RL, JL, DČ) visited Grbočica cave five times during years 2004–2008, but no specimens were found by searching or in baited traps.
