New records. USA, Alaska, Isabel Pass, Mi. 206 Richardson Hwy, 2900’, 18.VII.1962, P. J. Skitsko, 1 male (CNC). CANADA, British Columbia, Vancouver Island, Upper Carmanah Valley, forest floor, Malaise trap, 10.–29.IX.1991, N. Winchester, 2 males (RBCM).
Discussion. Several Nearctic specimens were reported from British Columbia, Vancouver Island and Alaska by Hippa, Vilkamaa and Mohrig (2003). We have now identified several additional specimens. In the Palaearctic region the species is known from Finland, Germany, Russia and Sweden. C. acanthostyla is very similar to C. elizabethae . The diagnostic characters are discussed under the latter species.
