Remarks. This species is known to occur on Shikoku, and is a member of the E. fustiger group. It may be identical with E. raucus , E. sayo or any similarly large-bodied member of the same group (see remarks for E. sayo ); I regard status of this species as unclear.

Hoshina (2020) did not place this species in any subgenus. As all other members of E. fustiger group, E. yoshidai belongs in Euconnus s. str.
