Distribution
This species was previously reported from Australia, the Indian Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea ( Qiu and Qian 2000; Ilan et al. 1994). Ilan et al. (1994) first reported it in association with sponges collected from the Israeli coast. It is considered to be a Lessepsian migrant. It is new to the marine fauna of Turkey.
