DIAGNOSIS — This species is characterized by having s4 as long as distance between its base and the base of z5, dorsocentral setae relatively long (each at least half as long as distance between bases of their respective homologues) and peritreme extending beyond base of j3.

FEMALE — (1 specimen measured).

Dorsum — Dorsal shield mostly smooth, with some striae along lateral margins of proscutum, 341 long and 230 wide. Setae j1 32, j3 40, j4 26, j5 29, j6 26, J2 21, J5 6, z2 27, z4 43, z5 29, Z1 29, Z4 24, Z5 38, s4 46, S2 32, S4 21, S5 21, r3 35, R1 21. All setae smooth.

Peritreme — Extending to level between j1 and j3.

Venter — Distances between St1–St3 72, St2–St2 64, St5–St5 67. Ventrianal 110 long, 59 wide at level of Zv2 and 56 wide at level of anus, with a pair of elliptical pores posterior to and slightly mesad of Jv2. One pair of metapodal shields, caudoventral setae smooth and sharptipped.

Chelicera — Movable digit 35 long, with 5 teeth; fixed digit 35 long, apparently with 12 teeth and a clearly discernible pilus dentilis.

Spermatheca — Calyx tubular, with distal half a slender tube and basal half bulged, 47 long; atrium distinct.

Legs — Macrosetae sharptipped; Sge II 29, Sge III 34, Sti III 30, Sge IV 48, Sti IV 46, St IV 62. Chaetotaxy of genu III: 12/1,2/01.

MALE — (1 specimen measured)

Dorsum — Dorsal shield pattern as in female, 263 long and 198 wide. Setae j1 28, j3 30, j5 18, J2 18, J5 5, z2 23, z4 35, Z1 20, Z4 18, Z5 35, s4 40, S2 23, S4 18, S5 20, r3 25, R1 18. All setae smooth.

Peritreme — Extending to level of z2.

Venter — Ventrianal shield subtriangular, with transversal striae anteriorly and constricted just anterior to level of anal opening; 108 long, 160 wide at the anterior corners; with 3 pairs of preanal setae, 4 pairs of lyrifissures (1 anterior to Jv1 and 3 anterolateral), and a pair of large pores posterior to and slightly mesad of Jv2.

Spermatodactyl — Shaft 43 long.

Legs — Macrosetae sharptipped; Sge II 20, Sge III 25, Sti III 23, Sge IV 38, Sti IV 33 and St IV 55. Chaetotaxy of genu III same as in female.

LOCALITY AND TYPE MATERIAL — Holotype female and allotype male from unknown plant, 26 km NE Bundibugyo, Uganda; 09X1990; Odongo, deposited at ESALQUSP.

ETYMOLOGY — The epithet bundibugyoensis refers to the location where the types of this new species were collected.

REMARKS — This new species resemble most closely Ueckermannseius neohavu Moraes, Zannou & Oliveira , sp. nov. and Ueckermannseius parahavu Moraes, Zannou & Oliveira , sp. nov., as discussed under the remaks of each of those species.
