White Bristlemouth. To 4.8 cm (1.9 in) SL (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California). Circumglobal; western Pacific Ocean north to Japan (Aizawa in Nakabo 2002), and Russian north-western Pacific ( Orlov and Tokranov 2019); Bering Sea (Mecklenburg et al. 2002) to Chile ( Pequeño 1989). Primarily mesopelagic (Mecklenburg et al. 2002); depth: near surface to about 4,000 m (13,100 ft).
