III. obscurus View in CoL group
No spinules at ventral base of fore basitarsus. Mid femur on apical half with a row of close-set bristle-like hairs, growing longer towards tip of femur. Hind tibia ventrally with lengthened hairs. Segments 2–4 of fore tarsus shortened. Eyes touching or nearly touching each other on face. Legs sometimes largely browned; at least hind femur and tibia slightly browned. Third antennal segment about as long as deep, triangular, with a rather acute point. Ventral surstylus very small; dorsal surstylus short, but very broad, bearing rather short hairs, without real bristles; hypopygium small, globular in obscurus and parvus ; in obliquus it is lengthened and directed obliquely backwards.
Known distribution. Thailand ( obscurus , obliquus ), Borneo ( obliquus ), Sulawesi ( parvus ).
Species included. Teuchophorus obscurus sp. nov.; Teuchophorus parvus sp. nov.; Teuchophorus obliquus sp. nov.
