Emendated features to the redescription ( PAPP 1999: 183) – f. Body 2.7–2.9 mm long. Headindorsalviewalmosttwice (i.e. 1.9 times) asbroadaslong, eye 2.1 timeslongerthan temple, templereceded, vertexstronglyandalmostconfluentlyandellipticsubfoveolate (Fig. 70). Scutellum smooth and shiny to uneven, subrugulose, dull (Fig. 73). Fore wing: pterostigma 2.2 timesaslongaswideand 1.25 timeslongerthan 1–R1, SR1 almoststraight ( Fig. 75 seearrows View Figs 75–87 ). Carapaceinlateralview 2.8 timesaslongashighposteriorly ( Fig. 76 View Figs 75–87 , seearrows). – m. Apicalforamenofcarapaceellipticandfairlylarge, 2–2.2 timesaswide as high (Fig. 88).
Taxonomicposition – Inthekeytothefemale Microchelonus species M. brasiliensis (Brues) runs to M. johni (Marsh) , see couplets 80 (83) – 82 (81); to M. blackburni (Cameron) and M. pectiniphorae (Cushman) , seecouplets 86 (85) – 90 (89); to M. constrictus Papp , see couplets 92 (95) – 94 (93).
