Emendated features to the original description (Papp l.c.) – f. Body 3.6 mm long. Penultimateflagellomerecubic (cf. Fig. 398). Headindorsalview 2.1 timesasbroadaslong, eye 2.1 timeslongerthantemple, templerounded, vertexandocciputtransverselysubstriolate ( Fig. 393 View Figs 385–397 ). Eyeinlateralview 1.3 timeswiderthangena, genaventrallywithsomewhat weakeningsubstriolation ( Fig. 394 seearrows View Figs 385–397 ). Scutellumrugose (cf. Fig. 412). Forewing: pterostigma 2.5 timesaslongaswide, issuing r distallyfromitsmiddle, 1–R1 aslongas carapaceinlateralview, 397 = posteriorthirdofcarapaceinventralview.

Carapaceinlateralviewflattened, 3.3 timesaslongashighposteriorly, apicallyrounded ( Fig. 396 seearrows View Figs 385–397 ). Carapaceapico-ventrallyweaklyincurved ( Fig 397 View Figs 385–397 ). Proximalhalfofantennaochre, distalhalfdarkeningbrown. Mesosomatestaceous.

Distribution – Costa Rica.
Taxonomicposition – Intheoriginaldescription M. rubescus isrelatedto (Pappl.c.) andinthekeytothefemale Microchelonus speciesitrunsto M. ruficollis (Viereck) , seecouplets 121 (124) –123 (122).
