Notes. We follow Mandl (1989) for the arrangement of the subspecies of Cychrus semigranosus . Thus, we treated jakupicensis , instead of morpha, as a distinct subspecies.

Material studied. “Pelister: Rotinska Reka, 1700m, 14.09.1952, T. Petkovski”, 3 s. ( MMNH); “Pelister Jugosl. 15 Mai 1972 Dr. Schurmann”, 1 s. ( NMW); “ Jugoslawien Mazedonien Perister, 1450 m leg. Distribution. 0 2, 0 5, 0 9, 32, 37, 40, 78.

Notes. The populations from the Baba (= Pelister) Mt., Southwestern Macedonia, occupy a transitional position between ssp. graecus and ssp. montenegrinus. Moreover, based on the size of body and the shape of pronotum those populations seem closer to ssp. graecus than the specimens from the var. olympicola Breuning, 1969 (a synonym of ssp. graecus ) are to the latter. So, the Greek populations from the Olympus Mt. may deserve subspecies status.
