Hebrus jeanneli jeanneli Poisson, 1944 View in CoL
( Fig. 66 View FIGURE 66 )
Hebrus jeanneli Poisson, 1944: 106 View in CoL . Syntypes: 1 ♂ 3 ♀, Kenya: Tiwi (1 ♂), Tavéta (1 ♀), Voï (1 ♀) ( USNM) ; Tanzania: Zanzibar: Mwéra River (1 ♀) (depository unknown).
Distribution ( Fig. 66 View FIGURE 66 ). North Africa: Egypt (Gadalla & Saleh Ahmad 2005, Saleh Ahmad & Gadalla 2005). Asia: Sinai (Gadalla & Saleh Ahmad 2005, Saleh Ahmad & Gadalla 2005). Afrotropical Region: Ethiopia ( Cobben 1982b), Kenya ( Poisson 1944), Niger ( Linnavuori 1981), Tanzania: Zanzibar ( Poisson 1944).
Comments. The head in lateral view was figured by Poisson (1957b: 353).
No depository of the types was mentioned in the original description ( Poisson 1953) nor in the Palaearctic catalogue by Andersen (1995). The collection at the USNM in Washington includes five card-mounted specimens, one from Tiwi (male), two from Taveta (apparent females), one from Voï (female), and one from Ethiopia, Hynes, Lac Awasa (apparent male); three of the specimens are certainly syntypes of H. jeanneli jeanneli (T. J. Henry, pers. comm).
