( Figs. 1–12 View FIGURES 1–12 )

Anisoderomorpha tuberculata Arrow 1925: 183 , fig. 35; Villiers 1945: 186.

Material examined. Holotype: male ( BMNH), “ Anisoderomopha tuberculata , type, Arrow / Holotype / Doherty / Birmah Ruby Mts / Fry Coll. 1905. 100. / NHMUK010369260.”

Diagnosis. This species can be easily separated from all other Anisoderomorpha species by the following characteristics: head black; elytra brownish red.

Redescription. Male. Body length = 16.90 mm. Elytral length = 11.88 mm.

Coloration almost black; elytra and abdomen (except base) brownish red.

Head ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1–12 ) almost symmetrical. Clypeus rounded, asymmetrical. Maxilla rather feebly chitinous, the inner lobe armed with three minute blunt teeth at the tip. Ligula entirely membranous, labial palpi broadly truncate at the end. Antenna ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1–12 ) with 5-segmented club; antennomere III> II = IV = V; VI as long as wide; VII dilated terminally, distinctly wider than VI, much narrower than VII; VIII strongly transverse, dilated terminally, as wide as X; IX strongly transverse, wider than the rest; X strongly transverse; XI rotundate-ovate, a little narrower than X.

Pronotum ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–12 ) subquadrate, convex in front, feebly narrowed from the front to the hind margin; basal margin only slightly arched posteriorly at median part; posterior angles not projected, slightly pointed. Prosternal process ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1–12 ) forming a rounded deflexed lobe behind the coxae. Mesoventrite hollowed, bilobed behind. Metaventrite acutely notched between the hind coxae.

Scutellar shield ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1–12 ) as long as wide; apex acute. Elytra ( Figs. 7–9 View FIGURES 1–12 ) very straight; the intervals rugulose and minutely and rather closely punctured; apical margins evenly and conjointly rounded. Tibiae smooth. Tarsi moderately dilated and fairly long. Abdominal ventrites 1–4 with a deep pit on each side.

Male terminalia. Sternite VIII ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 1–12 ) parallel-sided; posterior part closely pubescent and punctate; apical margin arched anteriorly at median part. Tegmen ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 1–12 ) ventrally with a pair of sclerotized ridges in middle, enclosing penis; parameres distinctly asymmetrical in length, flattened, stout, with long setae at apical part. Penis ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 1–12 ) long, flat, curved laterally; narrowed apically, rounded at the apex; penile struts as long as the length of median lobe excluding penile struts.
