Canthonella Chapin View in CoL is known from the West Indian islands of Cuba, Hispaniola, and Puerto Rico (six described species, Matthews 1966, Ivie and Philips 1990) and South America (eight described species, Ratcliffe and Smith 1999). Specimens of three additional Hispaniolan species and two new island records in the Virgin Islands are reported here for the first time.
