COMMENT: Includes Scirtopoda (in part), Haltomys , and Eremodipus ; see Corbet, 1978:151. OLR follows Heptner, 1975, Byull. Mosk. Ova. Ispyt. Prir. Otd. Biol., 80(3):5- 15, who considered Erenwdipus a distinct genus. Jaculus was placed on the official List of Generic Names by the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature (Opinion 730).
