The male gonopore is coxal, and the thick, soft penis reaches directly the base of the G1. In Menippe ( Fig. 8F View FIGURE 8 ), it occupies an intermediate location on the anterior margin of the P5 coxo-sternal condyle at the limit between the condyle and the coxa; the condyle articulates on sternite 8 by its produced, bilobed internal margin. The pattern is similar to that of the Eriphiidae .
