Family Atelecyclidae View in CoL
The male gonopore is coxal and the penis, as a short, soft papilla, emerges just below the base of the G1 endopodite, a simple condition ( Guinot 1979a: pl. 9, fig. 5; see also Guinot & Bouchard 1998: fig. 13A, B). The family, which is monotypic with only two species ( Ng, Guinot & Davie 2008: 51) and often erroneously assigned to Corystoidea , in the proximity of Peltarion and related genera, was included in Cancroidea by Guinot, De Angeli & Garassino (2008: 25, 29), a result confirmed by molecular analysis ( Schubart & Reuschel 2009: 543, fig. 3, table 4).
