Chimarra dibangensis sp. n.

Description: Adultmale; colorinalcoholbrown, wingspalehyaline, antennadark brown, headdorsumdarkbrown, legspaleyellowish. Lengthfromtipofheadtoapexof foldedforewing 5.25 mm; maxillarypalp 1.25 mmlong, 3rdsegmentabout 1.5 timeslonger than 2ndsegment, subequalinthelengthto 5thsegment; labialpalp 0.50 mm. Forewing length 4 mm; venation: Rscurved, thickened, discoidalcelllong, morethantwiceitswidth; cross vein m in close proximity of s and r-m cross veins, 2A looped to 1A; hind wing about 3 mm long.
Malegenitalia (Figs 11–15) – TergumIXpointedposterodorsally, reduced; anterior marginconcave; anteroventralmarginslightlyproduced; posterolateralmarginconvex; posteroventralprocesswelldeveloped, pointed. Preanalappendageseachrounded, setose inlateralview; globoseindorsalview.Inferiorappendages, eachalmostequaltotergumX; inlateralviewdorsallyinflectedbasoventrally, almostuniformlywide, withserrateventral margin; inventralview, widebasallywithmedianlobeonmesalsurface, curved, pointed apicomesally. TergumXwithlateralsclerotizedlobesandseparatemesallobes; eachlaterallobebroadbasally, downwardlycurvedmedially, eachbearing 2 sensilla, onebaso mediallyandanotherapicallyinlateralview; wedge- shapedindorsalview; eachmesal lobedigitate, bifidatapex, smallthanlaterallobes. Phallobase, rounded, andsclerotized. Endothecatubular, lengthnotdiscernable, producedventrallynearbaseinlateralview, withtwolateralrowsofcomblikespines; phallotremalcomplexvisibleinventralview, withwelldevelopedringandrodstructure.

Diagnosis – Inpossessionofwelldevelopedposteroventralprocesson sternumVIII, thisspeciesissimilarto Chimarraexapia MalickyetChantara- mongkol, 1993 and C. atnia MalickyetChantaramongkol, 1993 bothreported fromThailand. However, C. dibangensis sp. n. isdistinguishedfromthesespe- ciesbythepresenceofdorsallydirectedinferiorappendageinlateralview; in lateralviewthelaterallobeoftergumXhastwosensillaonebasalandanoth- erapicalone. Thesesensillaearenotpresentintherelatedspecies. Moreover, thereareconsiderabledifferencesvisibleinthephallus, andtheshapeand numberofendothecalspinesinallthethreespecies.
Material – Holotype, male, India: ArunachalPradesh , Roing, 800 m, 2-v-2010, Pand- her & Parey ( NPC) . Paratype: 2 females, collectiondatasameasofholotype.
Distribution – India: ArunachalPradesh.
Etymology – Thespeciesnameisderivedfromthedistrict: “LowerDibangvalley” in
whichtypelocalityfalls.
