Lygosoma Mehelyi WERNER (1899: 372)

Syntype: ZISP 9397 View Materials (one specimen), “ Deutsch-Neuguinea ” [Madang District, NE part of Papua New Guinea]. Received from F. Werner in 1900.

Present name: Emoia pallidiceps mehelyi ( Werner, 1899) fide Brown (1991).

Remarks: Additional syntypes are ZMH R04424 (formerly no. 4090) from the same locality ( Hallermann 1998) and NMW 16649: 1–3 from “Astrolabe Bay” ( Tiedemann et al. 1994).
