In Canada, this common, widespread species has been found in Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Québec. In the United States, I. obliqua was previously recorded from Connecticut, District of Columbia, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin ( Muona 2000). New state records include Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Vermont and West Virginia. Specimens were taken from a Lindgren funnel trap baited with a combination of phoebe oil and manuka oil, EtOH trap and a Malaise trap. ALABAMA: Dale County: Fort Ruker Mil. Isorhipis ru fi cornis (Say, 1823)
In Canada, this uncommonly collected eucnemid species has been taken in Nova Scotia, Ontario and Québec. In the United States, I. ruficornis was previously recorded in Arkansas, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Vermont, Wisconsin ( Muona 2000) and taken for the first time in Kansas, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Rhode Island and Virginia.
