This species is very similar to T. varians  , but can be distinguished by the following characters: forewing with an obviously labiate spot in the discal cell; saccus not basally constricted; aedeagus strongly bent near the apex, posterior margin of the 8 th sternite with two lateral processes. For worn specimens, genital dissection is strongly recommended to confirm identification.

( SCAU); [GUANGXI] Fangchenggang City (Shiwandashan National NR): 1 male, Milv Village, 6.IV. 2002, Guo-Hua Huang leg. ( HUNAU); Jingxi County: 2 males, Renzhuang Village, 10– 15.VII. 2006, Liu-Sheng Chen & Xiong Wei leg. ( SCAU).

Bionomics. The larval host is unknown.
