Nematopaguroides fagei Forest & de Saint Laurent, 1968 View in CoL
Nematopaguroides fagei Forest & de Saint Laurent, 1968: 157 View in CoL , figs. 136–141.
Material examined. None.
Distribution. Western Atlantic— USA (Florida), Gulf of Mexico, Brazil (Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo) ( Rieger 1998; Melo 1999; Coelho et al. 2007; Felder et al. 2009; Nucci & Melo 2011).
Remarks. Nucci & Melo (2011) reported few individuals obtained in São Paulo during the deep-water surveys in the Project REVIZEE (st. 6658, 3 spec., MZUSP 13908). According to these authors, there are two close species known from Brazil ( Nematopaguroides fagei and N. pusillus ) that can be differentiated by the sexual tubes.
