Material examined. 1 female (15.9 x 12.1 mm) ( DABFUK), Kavaratti, 15 October 2014 .
Remarks. Trapezia bidentata is better known throughout its range as Trapezia ferruginea Latreille, 1828 (cf. Serène 1984) but Castro et al. (2004) showed that T. bidentata (Forskål, 1775) was actually its senior synonym. It has previously been recorded from Lakshadweep by Rao et al. (1989) and Sankarankutty (1961).
