DIAGNOSIS. Female (overall length about 0.8mm): scape and pedicel dark brown; funicle pale yellow, clava pale orange with extreme base brown; coxae dark brown; legs otherwise mostly dark brown; gaster dark brown, ventrally dusky pale orange; frontovertex ( Fig. 191) nearly half head width; antenna ( Fig. 190) with scape about 3X as long as broad, funicle with F1 narrower than pedicel, F1-F4 subequal, small, subquadrate, F5-F6 larger and slightly longer than broad; linear sensilla only on F5-F6; clava about as long as funicle and 4X as long as broad; palp formula 3-2; scutellum ( Fig. 192) with 3 pairs of setae and longitudinally elongate reticulate sculpture, deeper than imbricate sculpture of mesoscutum; mid basitarsus with 2 or 3 ventral pegs; mid tibial spur about as long as basitarsus; fore wing with stigmal vein ( Fig. 188) a little longer than either postmarginal or marginal veins; hypopygium ( Fig. 194) reaching about 0.7X towards apex of gaster; ovipositor ( Fig. 189) about 3.5X as long as gonostylus and slightly exserted, the exserted part a little shorter than mid tibial spur. Male: unknown.
Female (holotype): length, including ovipositor, 0.82mm; excluding ovipositor, 0.77mm ( CPD) .
Head dark brown to black largely with a moderate to strong metallic sheen; occiput with a somewhat coppery sheen; frontovertex generally metallic dark green, coppery between occipital margin and posterior ocelli, along inner eye margin and above scrobal area; scrobal area, temple and gena with a moderate coppery sheen; frontovertex, gena and interantennal prominence with a few scattered, inconspicuous, brown setae; palpi white; radicle dark brown; scape dark brown; pedicel dark brown, some pale orange ventrally and laterally at extreme apex; funicle pale yellow; clava slightly dusky pale orange, extreme base pale brown; thorax dark brown to black with a weak to strong metallic lustre; pronotum with a moderate coppery sheen; mesoscutum with a fairly strong metallic dark green sheen, coppery immediately behind pronotum and narrowly along posterior margin; tegula dark brown with a slight coppery sheen; axilla with a coppery sheen; scutellum dorsally virtually matt with a slight silky coppery purple sheen, extreme apex and side shiny with a coppery sheen; mesopleuron with a moderate coppery sheen, posterior half very slightly metallic dark blue; fore coxa dark brown; fore femur dark brown, tibia dark brown, knee white, tarsus slightly dusky pale orange; mid coxa dark brown; mid femur white in proximal 0.4X, otherwise dark brown, tibia white in basal 0.15X, pale orange at extreme apex otherwise dark brown, spur and tarsus pale orange; hind coxa dark brown, hind femur dark brown with extreme apex pale orange, tibia dirty white in basal 0.15X, otherwise dark brown, tarsus brown; wings hyaline, but fore wing ( Fig. 193) with a small, weakly infuscate area below marginal and stigmal veins ( Fig. 188); propodeum very dark brown with a weak purple sheen; gaster dark brown with coppery purple, green and blue reflections, Gt1 medially pale orange proximally, venter dusky pale orange, virtually white towards base; gonostylus brown.
Head ( Fig. 191) about 2.2X as wide as frontovertex, in profile about 1.6X as high as deep, tangent to frontovertex forming an angle of about 85° with that of face; occipital margin sharp, not carinate; no distinct oval depression adjacent to eye near occipital margin; ocelli forming an angle of about 90°; frontovertex not widening in front of anterior ocellus, with distinct, fairly coarse, polygonally reticulate sculpture of mesh size generally slightly larger than eye facet, not shallower above top of scrobes, but of slightly smaller mesh; temple and gena with similar, slightly elongate, polygonally reticulate sculpture; top of scrobes with fairly coarse, regular, polygonally reticulate sculpture, scrobes with shallow sculpture; interantennal prominence and mouth margin with hardly shallower, polygonally reticulate sculpture; scrobes moderately deep, weakly margined, broadly ∩-shaped; interantennal prominence dorsally rounded; antenna as in Fig. 190; scape broadened and flattened, about 3.1X as long as broad; funicle with F1-F4 subequal, relatively small, subquadrate, F5-F6 larger and slightly longer than broad; clava about 4X as long as broad and about 1.3X as wide as F6, not curved downwards towards apex, hardly longer than funicle, sutures parallel, sensory area small, at apex only giving it a pointed or narrowly rounded appearance; eye slightly overreaching occipital margin, clothed with fairly conspicuous, dense setae, each about as long as diameter of facet; malar sulcus present, but very indistinct, obscured by sculpture; clypeal margin fairly evenly concave. Relative measurements: HW 66, HH 50, FV 30, POL 16, OOL 4, OCL 3, AOL 9.5, EL 35, EW 27.5, MS 20, SL 29, SW 9.5.
Thorax ( Fig. 192) with pronotum hardly exposed behind head, its posterior margin broadly concave, not angular medially; pronotum, mesoscutum and axilla with similar sculpture to that in ocellar area, but slightly shallower and more rounded; scutellum ( Fig. 192) dorsally with very fine, polygonally reticulate sculpture that is much deeper than that mesoscutum, and of slightly smaller mesh, sculpture slightly longitudinally elongate proximally, extreme apex and side completely smooth; visible part of mesoscutum about 1.9X as broad as long; scutellum about 1.2X as broad as long; hind femur about 4.2X as long as broad; mid basitarsus with 2 or 3 ventral pegs; mid tibial spur about as long as basitarsus; fore wing with venation and setation as in Figs 188, 193; propodeum ( Fig. 192) medially about 0.08X as long as scutellum. Relative measurements: FWL 80, FWW 35; HWL 52, HWW 13.
Gaster with hypopygium reaching about 0.7X to apex; last tergite about 0.65X as long as mid tibia, with apex broadly rounded; ovipositor slightly exserted, the exserted part about 0.7X as long as mid tibial spur or about 0.17X as long as mid tibia.
Paratype. Mandible with two acute teeth and an obtuse upper tooth; palp formula 3-2; funicle with linear sensilla present only on F5-F6; hypopygium Fig. 194; ovipositor Fig. 189. Relative measurements: OL 48.5, GL 14 [MT 45].
Variation. Females vary in overall length from 0.77-0.82mm, the extreme apex of each of the fore and mid femora may be white, the clava may be only about as long as the funicle and the exserted part of the ovipositor may be only about 0.15X as long as the mid tibial spur.
