6. Mycotretus scitulus + M. ornatus + M. fallax

( Figs 1H, J, P View Figure 1 ; character 16:1, Fig. 5K View Figure 5 ) ‘outer edge of the anterior borders of head with a pair of lobes’. This feature was observed in other Mycotretus , such as M. expressus Kuhnt, 1910 , M. dorsonotatus Lacordaire, 1841 and M. fasciolatus Lacordaire, 1842 (not included in the present study). All of these species are oval, usually with four (or more) pronotal black spots and free or fused elytral spots.
