( Figs 87–90 View FIGURES 87 – 90 )
Mayridia pulchra Mercet, 1921: 431 View in CoL –433, ♀, ♂. Spain. Lectotype ♀, designated by Noyes, 1981: 177. Trjapitzin, 1989: 282, key, distribution. Hayat, 2006: 211, 212, key, figures.
Material examined. KSA: Al-Qassim: Unaizah, 30.v.2013 (35F), Coll. F.R. Khan (2 ♀, 2 ♂; right antenna and wings of female on slide, EH.1686; right antenna and wings of male on slide, EH.1687) ( ZDAMU).
Comments. This species is distributed in the Palaearctic region (several countries), and India (Rajasthan State). This is the first record of this species from Saudi Arabia . Of the two females listed above, one female is larger (1.48 mm) and agrees with the original description, including the pale brownish mid femur and brownish yellow mid tibia; and the frontovertex width 0.37× head width. The second female is smaller in size (1.0 mm), has the mid femur brown except pale brown base and apex; mid tibia, except white apical third or so, pale brown; and the frontovertex broader, 0.4× head width. We have illustrated the antenna, fore wing of a female and the antenna and fore wing of a male ( Figs 87–90 View FIGURES 87 – 90 ).
