Material examined. Holotype, male, Laos NW, 5 km E Muang Sing, Chiang Tung (Stupa) GH, 750 m, 26.iii.−05.iv.2010, leg. local coll. (MWM).

Description. Antenna bipectinate, crest processes 2.5 times longer than antenna rod diameter. Length of fore wing 10 mm. Fore wing relatively short, apically rounded, dark-brown, with poorly expressed dark pattern in root area and narrow black bands discally, postdiscally and submarginally, fringe dark-brown. Hind wing black, without pattern, fringe black.

Male genitalia (GenPr Heterocera MWM N 25.261). Uncus long, apically semicircular; gnathos arms long, thin; gnathos robust, covered with fine spikes; valve basally wide, narrow in medium third, slightly widening to apex, membranous edge of valve obliquely connected with sclerotized part on abdominal edge, poorly expressed crest on costal edge; transtilla process strongly sclerotized, hooked, gradually narrowing from base to apex; juxta saddle-shaped with deep semicircular cut in medium part and two long thin lateral processes; saccus semicircular; aedeagus thick, strongly curved in medium third, apex sharp, obliquely cut, vesical aperture about 2/3 of aedeagus in length, vesical without cornuti.

Diagnosis. The new species clearly differs from all the known species of the genus:

- from P. ganesha – externally: the new species is significantly smaller, in P. Ganesha the thin transverse bands on the fore wing are more expressed;

- from P. hanuman and P. rimsaitae – in the male genital structure (in the new species, the membranous edge of the valve is very blunt and short; in P. Hanuman , the saccus is significantly smaller, in P. rimsaitae – the juxta lateral processes are more robust).

Etymology. The new species is named after my dear colleague and co-author, Dr. Alexandr N. Poltavsky (Rostov-na-Donu, Russia) (1954−2020) well- known entomologist, specialist in Lepidoptera on the Caucasus, who untimely left us during the pandemic.
