Platycopina indet. P1

(Pl. I: Fig. 20)

2013 Platycopina indet. P1; Maillet: 75, pl. VIII, figs. 19.

Material. 4 specimens (1 C, 2 V, 1 F).

Description. Large elongated carapace, slender posteriorly in lateral view, flat in dorsal view. Overlap of the larger RV over the LV seems ventral. Hmax at 1/3 anterior; Lmax median; Wmax median. Dorsal margin straight in its anterior part, oblique in its posterior part. Almost straight to very slightly concave ventral margin. Dorsal and ventral margins converging posteriorly. Well-rounded, regularly convex anterior margin. Oblique and straight posterior margin, becoming convex at its extremities. Anterior part of the carapace clearly higher than the posterior one. Carapace slightly flattened along the free margins. Adductorial slight mid-dorsal sulcus. Surface smooth (?).

Discussion. These specimens, although badly preserved, might be close to the genus Evlanella from the general outline of the carapace and the overlap of the RV over the LV.

Occurrence. Middle Givetian (Candás Fm, mb A), Asturias (Peran-Perlora section).
