Exaeretia lechriosema ( Meyrick, 1928)
( Figs. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 4 , 6 View FIGURES 5 – 8 , 10 View FIGURES 9 – 11 )
Depressaria lechriosema Meyrick, 1928: 474 . Type locality: Siberia. Agonopterix lechriosema ( Meyrick, 1928) : Clarke, 1963: 93.
Exaeretia lechriosema ( Meyrick, 1928) : Ridout, 1977: 41.
Material examined. 2 3, 1 ♀, China: Buerjin (47°41΄N, 86°59΄E), Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, 1114 m, 23.vii.2007, coll. Xinpu Wang.
Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) with wingspan 19.5−22.0 mm. The species is characterized by the forewing having two conspicuous short rectangular discal and discocellular stigmata. It resembles E. allisella Stainton in the female genitalia ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 9 – 11 ), but can be distinguished by the valva somewhat truncate dorsoapically, and the juxta with clavate-shaped lateral lobe in the male genitali ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 5 – 8 ). In E. allisella Stainton , the valva is rounded or gently arched dorsoapically, and the lateral lobe of juxta is narrowly elongate.
Distribution. Chian (Xinjiang), Russian Far East.
Notes. The adults and male genitalia of the specimens collected in Xinjiang were compared with those of the lectotype deposited in the Natural History Museum, London (BMNH). Small differences were found in the scale coloration of the forewing and in the shape of the distal process of the sacculus in the male genitalia. However, taking specimen abrasion and the locality into consideration, we still consider this species as E. lechriosema (Meyrick) .
