Centris quadrimaculata Packard, 1869: 57 View in CoL
Centris fusciventris Mocsáry, 1899: 252 View in CoL [New lectotype designation]. Junior subjective synonymy
Centris fusciventris View in CoL lectotype (♀): Mocsáry based his description on three female specimens of which we have examined two. A single female from Piauí, Brazil, is here designated as the lectotype and is labeled “Piauchy / Brasilia [printed]”, “848 / 90”, “45.”, “ C. ♀ / fusciventris View in CoL / det. Friese 1898 / Mocs.”. According to the accession book at HNHM the specimen was purchased from E. Menkl in 1889. The lectotype of C. fusciventris View in CoL corresponds to the previously established senior synonym, C. quadrimaculata View in CoL (synonymy proposed in Moure et al. 2007).
