Xanthochilus persicellus (Kirkaldy, 1909)

Distribution in Iran. Semnan ( Jakovlev 1877).

General distribution. Endemic.

Comments. Jakovlev (1877) recorded Pachybrachius luridus Hahn, 1826 from Iran (no locality cited). According to Aukema & Rieger (2011), this name is a synonym of Rhyparochromus (Xantochilus) persicellus (Kirkaldy 1909) . On the one hand, P. l u r i d u s is known in western Europe to the Alps and Carpathes mountains, and on the other hand in the Far East ( Korea, Japan, Far Eastern Russia, and Pacific coast of China), but unknown in Central Asia ( Péricart 1998c; Aukema & Rieger 2001). Also it was quoted in Canada by Péricart (1998c), but perhaps not a well established settlement.
