Fig. 5 Pomatias nyasanus: Smith 1899: 591 , pl. 35, fig. 5 (Mount Chiradzulu, Nyika Range, Zomba Plateau; 20× 21 mm). Recorded from two stations on Cabo Delgado; has a general distribution in Malawi (type localities), Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Differs from the other three species of Tropidophora in the region by the presence of numerous regularly spaced spiral cords over the entire shell surface.
