9. Licea confundens T.N. Lakh., Nann. -Bremek. & R.K. Chopra, Proc. Kon. Ned. Akad. Wetensch., C. 93(3): 253 (1990)
Sporophores sporocarpic, scattered, sessile. Sporocarps subglobose, 0.25–0.5 mm diam., dull ochraceous brown, ridged. Peridium double, outer layer gelatinous, with refuse inclusions, inner layer membranous, almost colourless; dehiscence along ridges into platelets and lobes. Spores mostly adhering in pairs, or in large loose clusters of 3–12 in spores, very dark brown in mass, light lilac grey by TL, globose, 10–12 µm diam., or ovoid 10.5 × 12 µm, minutely warted or smooth in area attached to another spore.
Holotype: HPUB 13,135 .
Habitat: on bark of living Quercus incana .
Distribution: Known only from type territory ( India).

Notes. We were unable to study the type material of this species, it was requested by us, but not sent. Our comments are based on the original description and iconography by Lakhanpal et al. (1990). The paired to clustered spores suggest a similarity to L. synsporos Nann. -Bremek. and L. synchrysospora Bortnikov but it is distinguished by its lilac spore colour, not olivaceous.
