Material examined: Isotypus. INDIA. Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, Summer Hill, 6-VIII-1981, in a moist chamber on bark (6-9 m up the trunk) from living Pinus wallichiana , leg. R.K. Chopra & T.N. Lakhanpal, 2237 RKC/LTN ( HPUB 13,237), NENB 13886 ( BR 5020071551626)! (only a slide) .

Habitat: on bark (6–9 m up the trunk) from living Pinus wallichiana .

Distribution: Known only from type territory (India).

Icon: Lakhanpal et al. (1990: 259, Figs. 6 A – C View FIGURE 6 ).

Notes. The holotype of this species is kept in HPUB under the number 13237, but although requested it was not sent to us. However, the slide of the isotype was found in the collection of Nannenga-Bremekamp in Meise ( Fig. 15 A View FIGURE 15 ), and we have used that for the images and description along with the detailed descriptions in Lakhanpal et al. (1990), and Nannenga-Bremekamp (2022).

The slide we examined is labelled “ L. morchelloides ” by hand, but on investigating the collection number and other details in the author’s notes we can confirm that this is a slide of the isotype of L. nigromarginata .
