Sporophores sporocarpic, subglobose, angular with a net of ridges, 90–170 µm diam. × 90–210 µm height, nearly black, shiny. Peridium triple, outer layer hyaline, membranous, middle layer gelatinous with granular matter, inner layer membranous, brown, papillose to the margins; dehiscence into irregular, angular lobes and platelets. Spores free, globose, nearly black in mass, very dark brown by TL ( Figs. 13 B – D View FIGURE 13 ), paler one side (12–)13–14 µm diam., smooth.
Material examined: Isotypus. INDIA. Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, Summer Hill, 27-VI-1981, in a moist chamber on bark from a living Quercus incana , 6 m above the ground, leg. R.K. Chopra & T.N. Lakhanpal, 310 CRK/TNL, NENB 13887 ( BR 5020071552630)! (only a slide) .
Habitat: on bark of living Quercus incana , 0-9 m above the ground.
Distribution: Known only from type territory (India).

Notes. We were only able to study a slide of the type material. However the original description ( Lakhanpal et al. 1990) and that provided by Nannenga-Bremekamp (2022) are detailed and we base our comments on our observations of the slide and the thorough description by the authors of the species.
