Remarks. The species is reported for the first time from South America. Western Amazonian material corresponds generally well with Costa Rican material. However, three specimens, female and two males, are conspicuously different in colour pattern: one female and one male collected in 1996 have mesoscutum, scutellum and upper part of metapleuron black, and one male collected in 1994 has the metapleuron entirely black. These specimens may belong to an undescribed species, thus we list them as additional material.
