Remarks. The species is reported for the first time from South America. Specimens from Peru and Ecuador are structurally and in colour pattern very similar to material collected from Costa Rica.
Material examined. Peru, Loreto: 1 ♀ (ZMUT) Iquitos Area, Allpahuayo, clayish soil, coll. I.E. Sääksjärvi et al. 2 ♀ (ZMUT, ZISP) same data, but varillal, 4–20.X.1998, 17.XII.2007 – 20.I.2008. 1 ♂ (ZMUT) same locality, 30º58′35′′ S, 76º27′10.8′′ W, 5–11.XII.2011, coll. I. Gómez & I.E. Sääksjärvi. Madre de Dios: 1 ♀ (ZMUT) Los Amigos, 233.4 m, 3–10.VII.2008, coll. I. Gómez. Ecuador, Orellana : 1 ♂ (ZMUT) Tiputini, 0º37′55′′ S, 76º08′39′′ W, 220–250 m, canopy fogging, 5.VII.1998, coll. T.L. Erwin et al.
Distribution. Costa Rica, Ecuador ( Orellana ), Peru (Loreto, Madre de Dios).
