Range: — Bolivia (BE, CH, LP, SC, TA) to southeastern Brazil and northern Argentina.
Ecology: —Common;epiphytic and less commonly saxicolous in deciduous to semihumid forests; 250–1600(2500) m. Poikilohydry as in P. burchellii .
Notes: —Differs from the commoner P. burchellii in its entire (vs. erose), broader blade scales, and usually smaller size (leaves 2.5–10 × 0.8–2 cm), although some specimens of P. burchellii may be just as small.
