Campyloneurum angustifolium (Sw.) Mém. Foug. View in CoL 5[Gen. Filic.]: 257. 1852.

= Polypodium angustifolium Sw., Prodr. [O. P. Swartz] 130. 1788.

= Polypodium leuconeuron (Fée) Christ var. angustifolium Rosenst., Repert. View in CoL Spec. Nov. Regni Veg. 11: 58. 1912.

Range: —Antilles; southern Florida, Mexico to Panama, Colombia to Venezuela and Bolivia (BE, CO, LP, SC, TA), central-western Brazil.

Ecology: —Very common, epiphytic; 250–2600(3500) m.

Notes: —This species belongs to a taxonomically difficult group that includes C. aglaolepis , C. angustipaleatum , C. austrobrasilianum , C. centrobrasilianum Lellinger , and C. poloënse . Campyloneurum centrobrasilianum is not known from Bolivia. Campyloneurum angustifolium can be recognized by having narrowly lanceolate rhizome scales more than 1 mm wide. The variation observed in the rhizome scales and leaf morphology within C. angustifolium might reflect differences in ploidal levels.
