Range: — U.S.A. (Florida); Antilles; Belize to Panama, Colombia to Venezuela and Bolivia (CO, LP).

Ecology: —Low epiphyte, in humid forests; 750–2150 m.

Notes: —This species and C. phyllitidis are closely related and form a taxonomically difficult complex. Campyloneurum brevifolium is provisionally accepted as distinct, pending further study. Characters distinguishing it from C. phyllitidis should be evaluated using fertile material. As defined here, this species has secondary areoles with irregular shape and more than 2 rows of sori at the center of the lamina length.
