Range: — Colombia ( León-Parra 2012), central Peru, and Bolivia (CO, LP, SC).

Ecology: —Fairly common; epiphytic in humid forests; 2500–3500 m.

Notes: —Some specimens have glabrous abaxial rachises, while others are variously setose; there may be a few scattered setae on the costae abaxially. There is also some variation in the color of the rhizome scales, ranging from dark orange-brown to dark castaneous-brown. Fuentes & Poma 10568 (UC) has crenate pinnae and larger than normal fronds.
