Range: —Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia (LP), Brazil.

Ecology: —Rare, known from two Bolivian collections; epiphytic, saxicolous or terrestrial among mosses in humid forests, often in fairly open forests, mostly on tree trunk bases, poorly known and probably often overlooked; 1700–2850 m.
