Remarks. Hyžný et al. (2013) considered Callianassa ocozocoautlaensis as morphologically close to extant Callianassa modesta De Man, 1905 . Recently, the latter species was together with three more species placed into a distinct genus, Praedatrypaea Poore, Dworschak, Robles, Mantelatto & Felder, 2019 . Thus, the fossil species in question is placed within the genus Praedatrypaea , being the only known representative of the genus known from the fossil record.
