Aracus captator Thorell, 1887: 36 View in CoL (Description of female).
Aracus captor Simon, 1893: 375 (lapsus).
Type material. Holotype female from MYANMAR (=BURMA/BIRMANIA): Minhla : (17°58’N, 95°42’E), G.B. Comotto leg., 1884, repository MSNG, Genova, Italy (no register number), examined based on photographs. GoogleMaps
Description. For description of the female, see Thorell (1887).
Male. Unknown.
Justification of the transfer. The proposed species transfer is based on the similarities of the epigynum of A. captator with that of the subterraneus -group of Zelotes as listed in the generic synonymy section (compare Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–6 with Platnick & Shadab 1983: figs 4, 8, 11, 16). As I was unable to examine its vulva, therefore it is not possible to mention whether Z. captator comb. nov. is still a valid species or needs to be synonymised with any other known species in the subterraneus -group.
