Graphopsocus Kolbe, 1880:124 . Type species: Hemerobius cruciatus Linnaeus.
Diagnosis. Adults of medium size, with well-developed wings. Body length 3–5 mm from postclypeus to wing tip. Antenna 13 segments, slightly longer than body. Lacinia narrowed toward apex. Tarsi with two segments, pulvillus broad, and tarsal claw without preapical tooth. Wings narrowly elongate, whitish, with distinct markings. Forewing margin rather sparsely setose; costal vein without setae from base to anterior margin of pterostigma, all other veins except Cu2 with single-row setae; one or two markings present between Cu2 and 1A; pterostigma broad, posterior angle obvious, connecting to Rs by a crossvein; Rs and M proximally fused for a distance; M three-branched; ap cell triangular, anteriorly connecting to M by a crossvein. Hindwing much smaller than forewing, without setae, with one or two markings on anal region. Abdomen with two ventral vesicles. Male hypandrium posteriorly convex; endophallus with a pair of parameres and an aedeagal arch. Female subgenital plate posteriorly convex; dorsal valve and ventral valve sclerotized, narrow, proximal portion of dorsal valve broad; external valve reduced.
