Type material. Holotype: male ( IZCAS), Shiyan Cave , Dajing Town [26°34´N, 114°08´E], Jinggangshan, Jiangxi, China, 13 August 2008, Y. Xiao leg. GoogleMaps Paratype: 1 female, same data as holotype GoogleMaps .

Etymology. The specific name is derived from Latin word, “flabellum”, meaning “fan”, and refers to the fanshaped median apophysis in the male; adjective.

Diagnosis. This new species is similar to L. quinquespinata ( Chen & Zhu, 2008) , but can be distinguished by the presence of six eyes ( Figs 5A, 6A); nine promarginal cheliceral teeth but no retromarginal tooth ( Fig. 8F); five spines on the retrolateral surface of palpal tibia, with the basal one straight, thick and blunt ( Figs 5D, 7A); and the fan-shaped median apophysis in the male ( Figs 5B, 8E).

Description. Male (holotype): total length 2.01( Fig. 5A). Prosoma 1.08 long, 0.84 wide. Opisthosoma 1.04 long, 0.85 wide. Prosoma yellowish, with a long seta anterior of ALE, and a pair of setae retrolateral of PLE. Median groove needle-shaped, pale brown. Cervical grooves and radial furrows indistinct. Clypeus 0.21 high, slightly sloped anteriorly. Eyes six, measurements: ALE 0.05, PLE 0.06, PME 0.04; ALE-PME 0.12, PLE-PLE 0.05, PLE-PME 0.08; AER 0.13, PER 0.19. Chelicera ( Fig. 8F) pale brown, with nine promarginal teeth but no retromarginal tooth. Endites and labium pale brown. Sternum ( Fig. 8A) and legs yellow. Leg measurements: I 9.14 (2.52, 0.38, 2.48, 2.30, 1.46); II 7.46 (2.02, 0.36, 2.08, 1.80, 1.20); III 5.90 (1.60, 0.28, 1.61, 1.54, 0.87); IV 8.38 (2.22, 0.34, 2.44, 2.14, 1.24). Leg formula: I-IV-II-III. Tibia I with one short spine prolaterally (position 0.9) and one short spine dorsally (0.3) ( Fig. 8G). Male palp ( Figs 5C–D, 7A–B): tibia with five spines retrolaterally, with the basal one thick and blunt. Tip of the bulb ( Figs 5B, 8D–E): median apophysis fan-shaped, conductor lamellar, embolus short, pointed.

Female (paratype): similar to male in coloration and general features, but with a smaller body size and shorter legs. Total length 1.89 ( Figs 6A–B). Prosoma 0.94 long, 0.78 wide. Opisthosoma 1.01 long, 0.79 wide. Clypeus 0.12 high. Eye measurements: ALE 0.05, PLE 0.06, PME 0.04; ALE-PME 0.12, PLE-PLE 0.05, PLE-PME 0.08; AER 0.13, PER 0.19. Leg measurements: I 8.50 (2.24, 0.36, 2.48, 2.00, 1.42); II 6.79 (1.94, 0.30, 1.94, 1.50, 1.11); III 5.77 (1.67, 0.30, 1.54, 1.34, 0.92); IV 7.06 (1.76, 0.26, 2.16, 1.75, 1.13). Internal genitalia ( Figs 6C, 8C) with a pair of spermathecae and sperm ducts, atrium fusiformed.
